Advertisements are typically single-sided designs that attempt to persuade potential customers to purchase more of a particular product, service, idea or resource. Your window of time to snag people's interest is short and unforgiving. When it only takes a second or two to flip a magazine page, click to a new web site, or zoom by an interstate billboard, creating visual appeal in advertisements is very important. The goal with advertising design is to make readers stop in their tracks and want to read the ad copy. Once this has been achieved, other goals are to inform the reader of something and to persude them to act upon that information.
