Q: Does Armour Ceramic Siding Insulate?
A:
ARMOUR CERAMIC SIDING (ACS) has an efficiency of an R19 equivalent at only 10 mils of thickness when dry. This is the same as 6-10 inches of fiberglass! It contains four (4) different types of ceramics to accomplish this. ACS is the only ceramic coating that can do this.

Q: Does Armour Ceramic Siding Create a Moisture Barrier?
A:
Absolutely. Rain molecules cannot get through, but the coating can “breathe” so the vapors inside your home can pass through. The “breath ability” protects the coating and the substrate and wall or roof system. This protection also means no more wood rot! Paint only protects for 2-3 years; it may still “look good” but most of the protection is gone and your walls start to rot. A home that is not waterproofed is not protected.

Q: How will ACS look on my home?
A:
It has a vibrant, rich finish designed to look just like a fresh, rich coat of paint for many years to come. ACS yields a beautiful finish that’s guaranteed to last a lifetime.

Q: What about dirt, mold and mildew?
A:ACS can simply be rinsed off with a garden hose and resists mold and mildew.

Q: I live in the Midwest on a golf course- what about hail and golf ball damage?
A:
Our coating has four different types of ceramics in a base of 2 acrylics and urethane, which provides superior flexibility and strength.

Q: What about fading?
A:
In comparison to most paints which fade about 60% in 5 years, ACS has a fade factor of only 3% every 10 years. The human eye can only detect a 10% fade factor.

Q: How does the cost compare to paint, vinyl siding and steel siding?
A:
ACS is about 2.5 times the cost of a professional paint job, about the same cost as vinyl siding and about half of what it would cost for steel siding. ACS does not destroy that radiant, natural look and lasts a lifetime. Unlike vinyl and steel, it is accepted by even the most discriminating homeowners associations.
